🌙 Night Sessions Paying Off – Purple Magic Doing the Damage

Two nights on the bounce and Sam has been right in amongst the fish.

Fishing a local Jersey mark on a dropping tide after dark, conditions lined up nicely and the bass were clearly switched on. Working a simple but deadly setup, the YKR Happy Eel in Purple Magic proved once again why it’s a go-to for night sessions.

Night Session and on the bass!

The Purple Magic pattern really stood out in the dark water — giving just enough contrast and movement to get hit after hit. Paired with a steady retrieve on the drop, it was getting nailed consistently.

The results speak for themselves:

•Biggest fish landed: 67cm

•Multiple fish: 57cm, 60cm, 64cm

•Plenty of action across both sessions

TIDE WINDOW

There’s something about that dropping tide window at night that just switches these fish on, especially when you’re fishing tight to structure and letting the lure do its thing naturally.

No overthinking, no complicated tactics — just right place, right time, and a lure that gets results.

Final Thoughts

Another solid reminder that if you’re heading out after dark, don’t leave Purple Magic at home.
